TreniTardi has no accounts. It never asks for your name, email or location, shows no ads and does not track you across apps and websites.

What stays on your phone

The trains you save, with the stops where you get on and off, stay on your iPhone.

What reaches the server

To build its screens, the app sends the TreniTardi server your saved trains, the searches you make and the stations you open. The server asks Trenitalia's ViaggiaTreno for the timetables and answers with the delay at your stop.

The server keeps the list of stations and trains looked up in the last 30 days, not linked to anyone, to record their delays every day. The forecasts come from that delay history.

How the server knows the app

On first launch your iPhone creates a key with Apple's App Attest, which proves that a request comes from TreniTardi. The server stores the public half of that key and a counter. Nothing it receives identifies you.

Technical logs

The server logs each request without its IP address. The proxy in front of it records the IP address only of requests that fail or run very slowly. These logs are kept for 30 days.

Where

The server runs in Italy. No data is sold or shared.
